(Total Tar route) N7 to Klawer turn 0ff – towards Vredendal – before Lutzville river bridge a sign to turn Strandfontein / Doringbaai or
(40km gravel road between Lambertsbay and Doringbaai) – R27 – Velddrift – Dwarskersbos – Elandsbaai – Leipoldtville – turn towards Lambertsbay – Gravel turn to Vredendal / Doringbaai. Do not turn off at “Souptjieshooget” as the gps instructs rather continue until the Doringbaai turn sign board. (The Souptjieshoogte gravel road is not Maintained)

From Springbok ( short route) – Garies – Bitterfontein – Nuwerus turn (35km gravel) to Landplaas – Koekenaap – Lutzville – turn to Strandfontein / Doringbaai or
From Springbok (long route) Lutzville– Garies – Bitterfontein – Van Rhynsdorp – Vredendal – Lutzville turn to Strandfontein / Doringbaai
